Why Am I Suddenly Breaking Out on My Forehead?

It's probably 3 things... 1. Your pillow case... Your pillow case has oils from your other nights sleep and will cause break-outs! I would recommend washing your pillow cases often! 2. Your hair... Your hair contains oils that will brush over top of your forehead often during the day and during the night while your sleeping. Maybe you could put your hair up in a pony tail before you go to sleep and take a shower... 3. Sweating.... This might cause break-outs, but I am not so sure. Sweating can be the cause of temperature and nightmares. I would recommend from that problem to just have happy thought and have a cold room during Summer nights! Good luck! :D Edit: Also, it could be make-up that is just clogging your pores... If you were anytime then it will cause break-outs if you do not wash up at the end of the day... So I would recommend for that is to just wash your face every day and night or also to get make-up remover.

1. How to get rid of acne. I know there are a lot of qs like this but cmon...?

I've had acne for a long time as a teenager and went to all the expensive doctors and tried proactive, accutane, and all that... My advice is WATCH what you eat. There are certain foods your face/skin may be especially "allergic" to and it triggers acne and pimples like mad. Trial and error will let you know what food items they are and avoid at all cost! For me at least, sugary, spice and diary products were among the worst, so I cutback and my acne improves but it takes weeks to see results. Doctor who tell you diet is not related are lying to your face, they do not know from firsthand experience that I had to find out the hard way. Also believe it or not, do not watch your face too much! Acne is NOT caused by bacteria or not washing your face !! The opposite effect .... if you wash too much or use abrasive soap your skin has to compensate by producing even MORE oil, and after a while it runs out of the essential amino acids and fatty acids and start producing LOW GRADE OIL that is what clogs the pores and the vicious cycle gets worse... Use soap like DOVE soap, because you do not want your skin to go dry it will make it worse!!! Do not wash more than twice a day! Also consume lots of healthy green vegetables, MAKE SURE you have enough FATTY ACIDS and OMEGA3 (take flax seed pills or eat foods like avocados , etc....) Avoiding bad foods are only half the battle, the other half is feed your body the essential micronutrients that it needs to produce skin oil in the right quality so your pores do not get plogged. You need OMEGA3, Fatty acids, and COMPLEX carbohydrates. (as opposed to the very unhealthy simple carbohydrates such as sugar, processed bread, white rice, white grain, etc) Also try to avoid taking antibiotics for acne. Take it from the acne expert (ME) antibiotics is a LOSE LOSE in the long run. The acne bacterium EVOLVE and become resistance and STRONGER than ever before after a while of using the antibiotics. This is why doctors recommend you "cycle" the meds. But after long term use they tax your liver and body system and you are eventually worse off than when you started... Treat the ROOT cause not the symptoms. antibiotics will NEVER make you healthy, you need to EAT RIGHT, and avoid BAD foods. And no matter what you do stay FAR FAR away from ACCUTANE. This drug from Phizer is not a miracle pill, it will cause you long term healthy problems... Lastly, MODERATE exercise is good, but going ALL OUT will actually have negative effects, it will cause breakouts as well. As contrarily to conventional wisdom, too much "outdoor" and UV sunlight is BAD for your skin and your acne. ... Remember exercise in moderation, cleanse in moderation, and drink plenty of fluids every day.. at least 100 fluid ounce per day.... BTW - since you are a sports or athletic type, one thing to watch out is your ZINC and chromium and magnesium levels might be artificially low and that WILL CAUSE MASSIVE acne problems. It is too long and complexed to explain that here, but as a doctor and how much to take as far as zinc and chromium and magnesium in milligrams per day. Vitamin A supplements (in the form of betacartene) will also help your acne out a lot, but like anything do not overdose! Check with a health professional or doctor. Hope you the best... So to recap: Avoid Sugar, Spice and Simple carbohydrates. Find out what foods you are allegeric to and avoid at all cost! DO take sufficient quantities of OMEGA3, FATTY ACIDS, Vitamin C, A, and E. Zinc, Manganese, Chromium and Magnesium. Do not overexercise! Do not get too much sun exposure. Do not wash your face too often esp with harse soap and do not let your face get "dry/scrappy" I use Cetaphil it is the world's most mild and effective skin cleanser, even recommended for newborn babies. Dove is not as good because it has oils that will clog the skin. Cetaphil is in a world of its own as far as being the most gentle yet effective cleanser there is! I have also found that the Oil-Free Acne wash (salicylic acid) that you can get from Nutrogena or CVS pharacmany has worked wonders for me over time, but do not wash with it more than once a day or your face will get dry and break out again! I wash my face with a mixture /blend of Cetaphil and salicylic acid (Oil-Free Acne wash) twice a day on odd days and use ONLY Cetaphil cleanser on even days to space it out so my skin gets to "rest" and yet I never let the "bacteria" build up critical mass or resistance or immunity....

2. How are flavoured coffee beans made?

The green coffee beans are roasted and after roasting, In most cases oils are sprayed on the beans , these can be natural or artificial flavored. In some of the better coffees, actual whole spices are added to the coffee as it is being ground. These might include Vanilla, cloves, almonds, cinnamon, Etc.

3. Questions about my starch, meat-free diet I am starting.?

How do you plan on getting enough protein? Make sure you eat eggs, beans, skim milk, nuts, and protein powder. I recommend eating whole wheat starch such as brown rice in place of white, whole wheat bread instead of white, etc, etc. Sweet potatoes are good. Make sure to eat plenty of vegetables. A lot of the foods you mentioned are high in saturated fat and sugar. Usually people will lose some weight initially on these gimmick diets but always end up gaining it back. They are not healthy. I would just try to eat healthy: unprocessed foods, whole wheat products, low fat meat (poultry and fish), plenty of veggies and fruit, and get your fat from sources high in omega 3 and unsaturated (olive oil, flax seed oil, avocado, nuts). Eat food that has a low glycemic index (do a search for glycemic index), you will feel full longer and this allows your body to slowly digest and does not spike your insulin levels which causes weight gain. Peanut butter is good but get the kind that has the oil separation at the top or the smart balance, the others have hydrogenated oils which are saturated fats, just keep in mind it still has a lot of fat so use in moderation. Avoid cookies unless you make them from scratch with whole wheat flour and natural sweeteners such as raisins, but still eat in moderation

just leave it. and dont touch it too much because the oils from your hand will irritate it ever more• Other Related Knowledge ofthe oils— — — — — —Which oils are good for the skin?do you have a natural food store in your town? whole foods will work in a pinch, but a more localized, "homegrown" store is better. you are so right about mineral oil. it is a cheap filler; very comedogenic (causes blackheads). stay away at all costs. there is really no reason why you could not mix them, but you probably want to try them out one by one and see which ones affect your skin the best, as your skin is different than your hair. your skin probably is not as dry, as you probably relax, or at least texturize, your hair, and you do not use chemicals on your skin. (i say this based on your avatar; if you do not , i apologize for the assumption *grin*) the whole foods website says for dry skin, you should use Olive, Almond, Avocado, Borage oils, so maybe try those out. as for olive oil, i would not use the stuff just from the grocery store. i would first look in the natural store, and see if they carry a body care grade olive oil. it will probably be more expensive, but, i would be afraid the kitchen olive oil would just be greasy and sit on the skin, as opposed to actually absorbing into it. also, if you do not like the smell of some of the oils, look into adding a few drops of a natural essential oil (also available at most natural stores) just for scent. be sure to smell it first; they usually have sample bottles available. ask an associate for help if you are not sure. good luck!— — — — — —Non-toxic air fresheners? You could use essential oils in a pump atomizer. These do not make terribly fine droplets, they are large and tend to fall quickly to the floor and furniture. Think about that when spraying around. The best way to diffuse essential oils into the air is with a diffusor. These disperse the oils with either air or heat. They can range widely in price. I agree, synthetic scents should be avoided. Synthetic fragrances are responsible for a myriad of problems, they disrupt the endocrine system, cancers and persist in the environment. There is plenty of information available on their evils for the interested consumer. Essential oils do have their own hazards. Because you are showering and shampooing so often, you are stripping the natural oils and drying out your scalp. Get a good medicated shampoo and start doing hot oil treatments (like VO5) so your skin can rehydrate. You should not be shampooing more than 2-3 times/week. In between you can use a good dry shampoo to keep the oiliness under control without stripping all of the oils and stressing your scalp again.
