The House with Great Tees and Seas: Coastal Home That Overlooks the 18th Hole of Exclusive Golf Cour

This stunning coastal home tucked away on a private estate next to one of the country's most beautiful golf course has gone on sale for just £2.95m.

Broadsands, in the exclusive village of Thurlestone, Devon, has direct access to a 18 hole golf course and overlooks the last hole on the course.

Estate agents Savills, who have put the home on the market, said the chance to buy this piece of prime real estate presents a rare opportunity for a lucky buyer, with the last one in the area sold more than 20 years ago.

The large family property is just a couple of minutes walk from the beach and the protected South West Coast Path, as well as being in an area of outstanding natural beauty on the private Yarmer Estate. The views directly from the property look out onto the golf course and beyond into the sea.

Thurlestone is seen as one of the most sought-after locations in the South Hams area of Devon.

The local Thurlestone Golf Club was designed by Harry Colt, which elegantly combines cliff-top terrain and breathaking backdrop for golfers' games. Views of Thurlestone Rock are visiable in the east while Burgh Island and the Avon Estuary are over the horizon in the west.

The course is open to all and membership to the club costs £725 a year, with an additional £110 joining fee.

The six-bedroom home in Broadsands is an expansive 4,049 sq ft, complete with a bright and spacious entrance hall, lounge, dining room and open planned kitchen and breakfast room.

There is also a large conservatory, a sun room with a built-in bar, games room and three bathrooms.

Outside it sits in grounds of more than half an acre, mostly laid to lawn and bordered with exotic shrubs, trees and flower beds.

A rear gate provides access directly onto the golf course and there is a short footpath leading to the sandy cove beyond.

Sarah-Jane Bingham-Chick, from Savills, said: 'Broadsands is a really beautiful house.

'It's on Ilbert Road, which is a private road and part of the Yarmer Estate.. It's extremely desirable and it's the houses on the left that really warrant the big price.

'That's the side to live on because they have the spectacular views.

'Broadsands was the last house that sold on this road and that was in 1997, they don't come up very often.

'It's probably one of the top three locations in the South Hams area.

'You have to seek permission from the estate for most things you do, which keeps the area looking beautiful and protected.

'It's a great home for golfers because you can go out your back gate and you are on the 18th hole.

'But it's a perfect entertaining house for all ages and interests. If you cross the 18th hole and walk for three minutes, you're on a beautiful sandy beach.

'There's a very popular village pub and the tennis club is just down the road too.

'As well as views over the golf course you've got the rugged coastline beyond.'
