Find the Best Home Blood Pressure Monitor

Chances are you or someone you care about has high blood pressure-about one in three American adults has the condition (including about 70 percent of people 65 and older). It multiplies the risk of heart attack, stroke, and premature death. But routinely measuring your numbers with the best home blood pressure monitor can keep those problems under control, which can help keep you alive."Patients get immediate feedback, and they can see if their medications or lifestyle changes are working," says Marvin M. Lipman, M.D., Consumer Reports' chief medical adviser. That can have many health benefits. For example, one study found that people who monitored their blood pressure at home were less likely to need multiple drugs to control their levels (27 vs. 43 percent), and more patients were able to stop taking the drugs entirely. Our latest tests found several worthy models. Here's what you need to know to find the best home blood pressure monitor.Find out how to lower your blood pressure and which medications are best to treat high blood pressure.Thirty-two Consumer Reports staffers-men and women of different ages and blood pressure ranges-had their readings taken every day on their left or right side for about four weeks. Each person used a different monitor each day. We compared their readings with those taken with a mercury sphygmomanometer, which is used in doctors' offices, to measure accuracy.Other factors we considered in finding the best home blood pressure monitor were ease of use and comfort. A few highlights:Wrist monitors were usually less accurate than arm models, perhaps because it's more difficult to ensure that they are properly aligned at the level of your heart. Consumer Reports does not recommend any of the wrist models tested. By contrast, we found four arm models to recommend, including two Consumer Reports' Best Buys. Before buying an arm model, make sure it has a cuff that fits your upper arm. Most devices fit arms at least 9 to 13 inches in circumference, but about 45 percent of men and 30 percent of women need a different size. "So consider models that fit several sizes," says Sue Booth, senior test project leader at Consumer Reports. "That will allow multiple people to use the same machine without having to buy an additional cuff." Some machines include two cuff sizes instead.Optimal blood pressure is an upper (or systolic) number below 120 millimeters of mercury (mmHg) and a lower (or diastolic) number below 80 mmHg. (The higher number shows the pressure when your heart beats; the lower number, the pressure between beats.)According to our experts at Consumer Reports Best Buy Drugs, people younger than 60 should generally start drugs if the numbers remain above 140/90; older people, above 150/90. But levels can vary a lot.Take these steps to make your readings, at home and in the doctor's office, accurate:Go the bathroom first.Don't smoke, exercise, or consume anything caffeinated for at least an hour beforehand.Sit quietly for 5 minutes before the reading. Keep your legs uncrossed, your feet flat on the floor, and your back supported.Pull up your sleeve so that the cuff goes around your bare arm. Rest your arm on a table so that the cuff is at heart level.Remain quiet during the test.Measure at the same time each day. Levels tend to rise steadily through the day, usually peaking in the middle of the afternoon.Who should monitor at home?People with high blood pressure should definitely monitor their levels at home. )This article also appeared in the May 2015 issue of Consumer Reports magazine. How Can I Setup My Mineral Water Business in Pune City?
Get The License and Business PermitNext step is to obtain the necessary license to start your bottled water plant. Getting a license for this business depends upon the country you reside. You will have to follow the rules and regulations of the locality to decide the type of mineral water you intend to produce. Apply for the vendors' license from the officials of the local administration. You will have to obtain the business permit from your state health department also.Get a Bottle SupplierNext important step is to find a suitable bottle water plant, which supplies the required number of plastic bottles. However, see that the company, which supplies the bottles, is a member of International bottled water association. Then be a member with them.Select A Perfect Location For Your PlantGetting a suitable building in your locality is another very important step to start the mineral water plant. There must be separate provisions for office area and production area. While selecting an area in your locality see that the market is near and water is available in abundance. You should also consider road accessibility and continuous power supply.Machinery And Other AccessoriesNext is the necessity of machinery and accessories. You can get them on hire or on long term lease if you do not have sufficient stock. Here are few items that you can considerGenerator setStorage tanksWater filling machinesWater treatment machines and filtersConveyors, sealers and bottle loadersWater sterilizers and dispensersEnough number of trucks for distribution of purified water.Hiring EmployeesThe business of bottling water is somewhat complex and cannot be done by a single person. So, you will have to hire persons from your locality and train them to have sufficient output and success in your mineral water plant. How Can You Earn From Selling Mineral Water In Your Locality?Selling mineral water in your locality will be the easiest way to grab more revenue from it, rather than competing with the big brands like Kingfisher, Bisleri, Coco Cola etc and expand your market to all over India. This can be your later step. However, initially it is always ideal to get a brand image and goodwill by selling in your locality and then expand later. Contact hotels, small restaurants, hospitals, small shops and convince them to use your packaged drinking water. You can start with small and large bottles like 1 litre, 10 litres, 20 litres, 2-litre containers etc based on the need of the customers in your area. Also, see to it that who else is distributing mineral water in the same area. Try to provide the facilities that your competitor is not giving to the local customers. It can be a lower rate per bottle than your competitor can. To begin with, a lowered pricing strategy can be a good selling strategy. Once you make a mark in the locality with a good brand image, slowly you can increase the rates. Also, try to find the nearby places where the local competitor is not distributing and start distributing there.Refer at wazzeer . com for any guidamce or knowledge. These days embedded systems do withstand harsh environments, infact some embedded devices are millitary grade or even rad hardened. So that argument fails right there. To make a generalization... All PLCs are embedded systems, but not all embedded systems are PLCs. A PLC is a readymade embedded system that can be deployed "in situ" meaning in to an end application with very little engineering overheads. The application design engineer(s) don't have to worry about the power requirement, or yes withstanding industrial conditions such as extended temperature ranges or EMI RFI noise. They can straight away concentrate on meeting the requirements of the end application. The I/O points on a PLC are already protected. The PLC takes a microcontroller ... builds a set of peripherals around it and then offers all of it to the outside world ... with the appropriate protection circuitry for the I/o pins in place of course. It does this by having a special type of high level programming language that lets you build applications quickly without having to be bothered about nitty gritty of microcontroller programming such as how the microcontroller communicates with its peripherals or how it manages memory. In a sense it adds a layer of abstraction in the same way for example as a PC allows you to create programs without having to bother about the low level bios calls or managing access to storage media such as hard drives. An embedded systems design engineer, on the other hand, is dealing directly with the hardware and all the issues that go with it....such as for example managing power requirements, managing the current sourcing / sinking capacity of i/o pins, what bus to use for peripherals communication, or how much non-volatile memory to allocate and so on. So there is a price trade-off for the extra features you get with PLCs, making them more expensive than the embedded counterparts. Initial cost of deploying an embedded system would be very high compared to a PLC, going down as quantities increase and vise versa for PLCs. So clearly a PLC cannot be a solution in a price sensitive application... automobiles for exampleLikewise an embedded system would not be a good solution where a quick turnaround time is a criterion .... . such as a proof of concept for automation of a material handling applicationTypical examples where PLCs make them a good choice:Car wash automationMaterial handling over conveyor belts in a plantRobotic arms handling radioactive wasteLaser cutting machinesWashing machinesElevatorsPouch filling machinesMail sorting system in a postal department.Gravimetric batching control systemAll of the above can indeed be realized with embedded systems. Typical examples where it makes more sense to use them would be:Automotive electronics such as Engine control units, Anti lock braking, cabin climate control etc. Pouch filling machinesUPS or power management systemsData loggers for physical parameters such as temperature, pressure, flow, liquid level etc in chemical plants.Protection equipment for HV transformersStatic and dynamic weighing applications.Solar invertersFuel dispensersCommunication equipment such as gateways, routers and converterIn conclusion, I should mention one major difference between these two. The application program of an embedded system cannot be reprogrammed or modified in a short time in the same way it can be done for a PLC.I have done the best I could to answer this question. Hope it helpsWhat is the difference between a PLC and an embedded system?.------How is the antibiotic Keflex manufactured? What ingredients are used, and what is the process involved?Keflex comes in a form of capsule which is relatively stable shell enclosing medicine(s) in this case active ingredient - cefalexine, an antibiotic which kills bacteria by disrupting their cell wall. All capsules can be divided in two main groups: soft and hard capsules. First ones are usually for active ingredients which dissolves in lipids and oils. The second ones are suitable for dry powder ingredients and are requesting usage of manual, semi automatic or automatic capsule filling machines. Hard capsules consists from two parts. Smaller one is called the body and holds the active ingredient(s) and the other one is called the cap which seals the body. Both types of capsules are made of aqueous solution of gelatin (animal protein, made in the process of prolonged boiling animal connecting tissue, skin or bones) or polysaccharides, cellulose or starch (plant based gelling agents). Gelatin is non toxic material used widely in food and many other industries. It is used in capsule making process because it is soluble in the organism at body temperature and has many properties that suits capsule production and usage. It can be found as type A gelatin and type B gelatin. In pharmaceutical industry, mixture of these two is used the most. Other ingredients which affect colour of the capsule (coloring agents), microorganism (preservatives - sulfur dioxide, methyl propyl estrs of para hydroxy-benzoic acid, benzoic and propionic acid), disintegration process (disintegrants) and lubricants are added to gelatin solution in the capsule manufacturing process. Capsule shell is tasteless which is great because in this way a patient can take medicines that taste badly or are unpleasant. It is disintegrated in the stomach by HCl (stomach acid) in about 10 to 20 minutes and the active ingredient is released and absorbed in an hour or two.So, both types of capsules have active ingredient which is medicine intended to treat the condition, excipient which are all those other (inactive) ingredients and a capsule shell.Keflex capsule contain cephalexine monohydrate equivalent to 250 mg and 500 mg cephalexine as active ingredient and excipients or inactive ingredients which are: dimethicone 350 (type of silicone oil which in is there to prevent formation of gas in the intestine or to facilitate its expulsion); magnesium stearate (substance used to prevent ingredients from sticking to manufacturing equipment); avicel 591 rc (microcrystalline cellulose and carboxymethylcellulose sodium for stability). Shell contains gelatin as gelling agent, colors: patent blue V and quinoline yellow, titanium dioxide (white) and colorcon S-1-8144 HV black ink.Capsule manufacturing process, in simple words goes like this... First you have to have manual, semi automatic or automatic filling machine. You get your capsules from pharmaceutical companies that make those, like Eli Lilly etc. You insert those empty capsules in the filling machine load tray which is placed over 200-300 beds (where the empty capsules are). Next after only one move of a handle on machine, loading tray will open capsules and it will be removed with capsule caps leaving capsule beds in the position. The powder plate with active ingredients is placed just above the beds and it fills the bodies of the capsules. After that comes pin plate which will press the powder in the capsule bodies. Put back tray with caps, seal the capsules and eject them. There you have capsules ready for further packaging, labeling and distribution.
House Republicans Want to Prohibit National Parks From Banning Plastic Water Bottles
A short list of things Republicans would like to do with our National Parks: open them up tooil and gas drillingand maybemining;sell off what we can --National Forests, Wildlife Refugees and Wildernesses-- to the highest bidder; and, since we can't get rid of the ones we already have, make it so that there are No more National Parks, at all, in the future. Oh, and bring back the plastic water bottles.Because nothing says family getaway to America's great, untouched wilderness like this:maudanros/ShutterstockThe National Parks Service made it possible to ban the sales of these most environmentally unfriendly products three years ago, citingits commitment to sustainability and "the significant environmental impact" of the disposable plastic bottles as "compared to the use of local tap water and refillable bottles." It was an experiment, but one which the Parks Service estimated could save the equivalent of6,000 metric tons of carbon emissions each year. Bans have since been adopted by 19 parks, including the Grand Canyon National Park and theMount Rushmore National Monument, all of which provide readily available filling stations. The Grand Canyon, which sells reusable bottles for just $2.50, said plastic bottles used to account for an entire fifth of its solid waste stream.Yet surprise, surprise: what to many says common sensical environmental policy says, to House Republicans says "intrusive government overreach." After aggressive lobbying from the bottled water industry,U.S. Rep. Keith Rothfus (R-PA) snuck a last-minute amendmentinto the appropriations bill it passed last week that effectively bans the bans.Hard-working American families, Rothfus explained from the House floor, "who don't own expensive camping equipment" -- presumably, that includes $2.50 reusable bottles -- "could be put at risk of dehydration." The fact that the readily available alternative is free waterdidn't seem to factor into his argument.Big Water, meanwhile, argues that bans on plastic water bottles only drive consumers toward unhealthier options: much is being made of a recent study on the University of Vermont's ban, which found that, denied packaged water, students started drinking more sugary beverages -- enough so that they never ended up seeing a reduction in plastic waste. But the Parks Service, in its policy statement, takes that possibility into account -- it's why parks have a choice about whether or not to enact a ban, and why it's not recommended for parks without access to running water. Any park with a ban is required to collect data on its effectiveness, but we've yet to see a study on any specific park. And the move, Parks advocates have stressed, is largely about sending the right message. The Parks Service suggests that bans will "introduce visitors to green products and the concept of environmentally responsible purchasing, and give them the opportunity to take that ethic home and apply it in their daily lives." David Nimkin, senior regional director for the Southwest for theNational Parks Conservation Association, called ita"reasonable and appropriate move on the part of the Park Service to help its visitors recognize that water is critically important." It should come as little surprise that Republicans have little tolerance for that line of reasoning, either .

How to Replace a Compression Valve Behind Sink?
It looks like you might have a threaded connector at the end of the copper pipe. I would try a wrench first and see if you can unscrew it (Make sure the water supply is off first). If it wo not move, you might have to cut it. If it does unscrew, just buy a new threaded connector. If you cut the pipe, I would buy a Sharkbite or another push connector quarter turn ball valve1. How serious is Slight Valve Leakage? It all depends on the severity - slight does not mean much. Honestly, this is a question for the doctor covering the patient to achieve the ideal answer. Valve leaks put a huge strain on the heart - they have the pump harder to maintain proper blood flow.2. PCV valve location on Chevy?Valve cover is the only place they go3. what is a car valve?????Valve is more like a door, it's has a job to let in a thing and let out a thing. In car, valve is locate to the combustion chamber, intake and outtake. It's configure in SOHC and DOHC, in Single Over Head Camshaft there is 1 valve in and out each cylinder, in DOHC there is 2 intake and 2 outtake, even some engine has 3 intake and 2 outtake. The intake valve job is to let in the air fuel mixture to the combustion chamber, while the outtake valve job is to let out the burned air fuel mixture. By valve, the combustion chamber can be isolated from any leak such as air or compression lost that may disturb ignition sequence and emission control4. Why is there no water shutoff valve for bathtubs or showers?I think it has to do with two factors. The first is the desire and need to place plumbing in a wall for tub and shower. The second factor is if the tap leaks on a tub or shower it is not a catastrophic event. With a sink or toilet or even a washing machine. A leak can soon turn out as a catastrophe. The other thing that makes little sense to me is why do people use screw valves fir shut offs? Hard water can tear up the seats. With a ball valve all you have to do is work them once a year to release deposits. Why is there no water shutoff valve for bathtubs or showers?5. Shower not working: Problem with diverter valve? From what you describe, it sounds like you have a linear-actuated diverter valve connected to the outside through a linkage. This linkage is invariably the problem. It sounds like it got disconnected from the actual diverter valve. Without actually seeing your setup, it's difficult for me to troubleshoot. Does the diverter handle feel loose and sloppy like it's not connected? If so, you will have to pull apart the diverter mechanism and inspect it. Chances are, the linkage has become old, corroded, and has failed. Remove the linkage and take it to your plumbing supply store, or the plumbing and bath section of your hardware store and ask for a replacement. Replace the linkage and adjust it so you have a firm, positive action on the linkage without binding.6. Why is my EGR valve melting? The computer controls are not functioning, maybe a short in the wire causing it to stay partially open. You might also be running to lean which makes your exhaust exceedingly hot. Id check your fuel pressure and injectors as well.7. What would be a good valve for a air cannon? You want a butterfly valve with a very fast acting actuator. The "Punkin Chunkers" I've seen use a pneumatic cylinder to pull on a short lever arm mounted to the valve stem8. what is the weakest part of a water heater? drain valve, relief valve or tank or all of the above?Usually whatever you messed with last! Haha! Only messing chief. Ok seriously it goes like this: Draincock, harly ever. Only if you have drained it down as the washer will have de-natured from being compressed for so long. Top of the list, which i think someone else said on here and i definately concur is the PRV. The spring denatures and allows it to discharge at a lower pressure than is meant to. These cost between 5 and 20. If you replace the PRV and it still keeps doing it the next in the line is the Expansion vessel (depending on size for your apliance litreage 50 to 150). It will either need recharging (with a foot pump) to the bar pressure stated on the databadge on the side, or if its knackered (if it still keeps doing it after that) due to the rubber diaphragm in the vessel denaturing, blistering or just splitting. If it has an immersion heater (an electrical element usually as a backup) this often goes depending on how much use it gets. If its every night as night time storage it goes between 1 and 4 years depending on brand and quality of heating element. The top end ones can last decades pending on water quality. Usually cost between 12 and 70 From the cheapest right thru to the titanium ones. Some manufacturers make it so you cant use standard ones (oso, heatrae/amptec) and have to buy theirs, they are normally at the high end and come with an extra carriage charge. After that the pressure inlet valve sometimes furs up. Thats rare as if your in a poor water area most people have a limefighter but it happens. After that the hot water vessel itself. Rare but it happens. Then its a new one. Hope this helps, a make and model would help hugely as i can tell you the inherrant faults with each manufacturer (sad i know!). Also the term 'water heater' is a pretty broad spectrum. is it primerily gas fired or heated by a coil? Is it a cylinder? Does it have internal expansion vessel? Is it electric and have twin elements? Plumbing and Heating engineer (CORGI now GAS SAFE) for 12 years - if you have any more info please add! If its a specific problem please post - good luck!

Is It Bad If the Lights Dim Whenever the Furnace/air Conditioner Kick In?
It is not bad. Fairly normal and very common. It will not hurt anything except annoy you. There are expensive remedies1. Should I get my air conditioner serviced if it is working okay?Take a garden hose and VERY gently rinse your outdoor unit until any dirt is removed from the coil... and I mean gently. You now have a serviced AC. If it seems to be running too long then make a call and get it checked out. Other than that, change your filters on time. Call to have your indoor coil cleaned if you are forgetful for months with your filters. If you take good care of it, you should not need maintenance other than the rinsing of the coils when they get significantly dirty2. How cold should the air coming from my air conditioner be?It's August. It's HOT outside. We want to be COOL inside. But just how cold should the air temperatures be coming from the supply vents? While most people just assume that "cold" is the correct answer, there is a range of acceptable temperatures. I will get into that in just a minute, but first I feel it's important to understand (just a little) of how our HVAC system works. When the air conditioning system is on, and working correctly, the process that is occurring is that warm air is being pulled from the home (let's say 75 degrees) through the return vent and moving through the A/C units evaporator coil. This is where the magic happens! Through the science of evaporative cooling, when this warm air passes through the evaporator coil, a volume of heat is removed from that warm air and we get cold air coming from the air ducts! It is this process that cools your home! Through this process, humidity is also removed, which helps make us feel more comfortable. Now, from the example above, with 75 degree air being pulled in at the air filter, what temperature should we expect to be blowing out? Well, the general consensus is somewhere between 14 to 20 degrees colder than the intake temperature. From my example, 55 to 61 degrees would be an acceptable range.3. How do I clean my wall mounted air conditioner?replace the filter it is probebly that your lucky it does not shut off altogether4. how do i make the noise less in my window air conditioner? Not a lot. You do not want that thing to be closed off, you want as much air circulation through the outside of that thing as you can get. What you could do is get above the AC unit on the outside wall, and mount a small awning. Just big enough that the awning's drip edges are beyond the edges of the AC, and high enough that there's a foot or (preferably) more of clear air between them, so it does not interfere with the AC's breathing. Obviously the higher you mount it above the AC, the larger you will want it to be so it catches more of the rain before it hits the unit. But do not go too crazy. What to make it out of? That's up to you. You could do a decent job with a piece of cheap plywood and a little rudimentary frame to screw it to the side of the house. Attachment is up to you since we have no idea what kind of siding you have, but obviously you will need to take those considerations into account when you design and build. In fact, I recommend the plywood. Sand, prime and paint, a couple or three coats. You could use a piece of aluminum flashing but that's going to make a pretty strong sound. The plywood will tend to deaden the noise, not make it worse.5. My air conditioner fan will not come on and it freezes up inside the house.?Turn the entire system off Call an Air Conditioning repair shop Get it fixed properly6. Does using your air conditioner in your car burn more fuel?if your going less than 50mph yes. best roll down the windows then. but over 50, it's better to keep the the ac on than windows down

HOW TO MAKE LIPS LIGHTER?You can not really take your lips' pigment out, but if you want a makeup fix, start off with a little bit of vaseline just enough to moisturize your lips and then put a little bit of liquid foundation on them. Blend evenly. Take a thin ply tissue or kleenex, put it on top of your lips and dab some loose powder to set the foundation. Once set, top with lip balm or vaseline. Voila! Nice nude lips!5. home remedies to get lighter skin?Well Lemon is a natural bleach ... as i heard ... So to apply it well on your knees u will have to take half of a lemon , make it a juice and apply with a cotton wool. I guess that is how it works. Honey helped me to lighten my scar on my nose ( which is nearly invisible now ) so i guess it works ... just rub some honey on the part you want and let it be for half an hour a day... :-)6. Why is Beyonce getting "lighter"?Hmmmmmm...yes I have noticed that also!7. Should I go darker or lighter?u sould go darker!!!!!!!!!!!! but not to dark8. car ciggerette lighter wont work?It may be a defective charger for your navigation system. Try using the navigation system in another car and see if you have the same problem. It could also be not the fuse, but the circuit. I had the same problem on my 2001 Ford Focus, and it was the circuit, not the fuse9. People bleaching their skin to make it lighter?I am glad Tyra discussed the issue of skin bleaching on her show, but it would have been nice to show 1) that this is not a uniquely black phenomenon (as she admitted, many Asian societies endorse the "lighter is better" concept); 2) that there are plenty of darker-skinned beauties who prefer their skin tone and would never consider bleaching their skin; and 3) women of all races go through tons of aesthetic adjustments to reach whatever "ideal" is placed before them (going tanning/plastic surgery/bleaching, etc.) and that they all need to accept how beautiful they truly are without all the procedures. Both this Tyra episode and the other one about "colorism" in the black community both reinforce a message that society's "lighter is better" concept is real and always negatively affects all people of darker skin tones. However, I completely disagree. Yes, there are some ignorant people out there who are so obsessed with skin tone that they cannot see past it, but beauty is not determined by your skin tone. I have travelled the world quite a bit and have seen stunning women of every race and color. To be completely honest, I am disappointed in the media for not showing more darker women of color who are considered gorgeous - Tyra does a good job of showing them off on Top Model, but seems to reinforce this idea that being darker somehow is a negative thing on the Tyra Banks Show. I understand that she is trying to reach out to girls who are dealing with skin tone issues, but she not only needs to connect with them - she needs to show them that yes - despite what "society" says, they are truly beautiful. Tyra needs to seriously reinforce this point - rather than talk about society's "ideal" and the unfortunate percentage of women affected by it10. which Cigarette Lighter to choose?Get the first one, because it will fit in a pack of smokes after you've smoked one & It will save space in your pocket and you will have less to carry around11. How to polish boots without lighteR?Kiwi is only going to get you so far. Drill Sergeants and other NCO's and officers will all tell you that they only use Kiwi and a lot of elbow grease which is false. Point being you will need a little extra help for that added shine. Water is kind of pointless considering kiwi is not very water soluble so it just mostly runs off the boot. Using a lighter only helps a little. I have seen more guys dry out the leather on their boots and damage them from using lighters than doing anything else. Plus the lighter does not force the kiwi into the boot, it only creates a candy-like coating on the boot which is why you see some guys with the toes of their boots looking like they have spider-cracks running all through them!!! Then they have to "strip" the boot using some sort of alcohol and start all over. If you go to the PX or clothing and sales, look into getting one of those little boot sponges (I cant remember what they are called but they should have a little red handle on top). After you shine your boots with kiwi rub the sponge over the top. It has a little bit of liquid shine in the sponge that makes the kiwi shine a lot more and it lasts for a while too. Lastly, Mop & Glow is a big deal. After shining with Kiwi, put a little MG on a cotton ball and rub that on the toe and heel and you will have a super shine. Just a little bit though, too much and you will end up with streaks you will have to wash off with water and reapply the M&G. I do not know what branch of the Military you are in b/c the Army has switched to desert boots but rarely will someone ***** about using something other than Kiwi unless you are in Basic Training. We used to pull out all the stops for ceremonies and other stuff. Good Luck and shine on!!
What Are the Best Smelling Essential Oils, I Want to Add It to My Homemade Moisturizer?
Best smelling?! Yeah, right1. where do vegetarians get there protein and essential oils like fish oil?Technically, protein is in every living thing and they are the basic building blocks for life. We do not need protein, we do not directly absorb it. We need a few basic amino acids which come from protein. Proteins are like little tools that the body uses to complete tasks, like enzymes which break or create chemical compounds. Since we do not use the same proteins as a cow or a bean, they have to be broken down into the amino acids that can be used. The remaining amino acids are peed out (that's what they call "nitrogenous waste" or "urea") Most animal meats have a complete array of amino acids by themselves. But there IS a complete array of essential amino acids in the plant world, we just can not get them all from a single plant source. So vegans have to eat a variety of nuts, beans, lentils, seeds and whole grains. Fatty acids come from walnuts, grapes, olives and various nuts and seeds. There is sufficient animal protein and fatty acid in eggs. VEGETARIANS need not worry at all about protein or essential fatty acids. Only vegans, who do not eat eggs, need to worry about that stuff.2. Essential oils - Better pure or diluted when making creams etc?Try tea tree oil, many people like it. If it's too harsh for your skin, dilute it in some jojoba oil. And make sure you get plenty of healthy oils in your diet! If you have too *little* fat in your diet your skin can dry out and get quite temperamental! Drink a lot of water too. Also, this might seem simple, but if you think your acne is stress-related. .. treat the stress! If you do not do something to help you feel more calm and centered, the *real* problem is not being taken care of. Good luck! Juniper, University of Metaphysical Sciences3. 40 yr old woman looking for cheap but good facial products ?Hi khyoung6: I am 52 years young, and I started a regime 4 years ago I wish I had started at your age or sooner. I am a soap maker and have done some research myself. I have settled on a pure olive oil unscented soap for my face. It rocks! It is made with only olive oil which encourages normal production from our oil glands, does not clog pores, and gives a protective layer from the harsh environments we deal with everyday. It is not expensive, and when taken care of, lasts longer than any commercial bar. Also, I make an herbal oil with 6 skin rich herbs that are kind to maturing skin and prevent premature aging, as well as a load of skin rich oils, emu oil, and jojoba that sinks it in fast and takes all the goodness 6 skin layers deep. Whipped butters are good on the face, too, if no wax is used in the product, and if they are unscented. I make one unscented and two with essential oils in them. I, too, had concerns. I love the results.4. Sensitive skin and makeup help?Go with a fragrance free and chemical free product. I know people like their products to smell good, but you can have a product "smell" good without the use of a fragrance. How? Products that contain essential oils, and they do not clog the skin because they are an oil. Essential oils are natural and are found in many products How do you avoid a chemical free product? Pick a natural based skin care and makeup line, such as Origins. If you do not know what is in the product, check the ingredients. The best way to avoid a reaction is to use a natural product.5. What are some herbs and essential oils I should get for my cabinet?Number one essential oil for me is Tea tree Oil. It is a natural antiseptic, stops dandruff, can clean with it, etc. Also buy an aloe vera plant moistirizes you, natural suncreen, and so much more!.6. can someone list some essential oils for hair growth?I am researching this to make my own hair tonic to massage into the scalp, the tricky part is getting the right balance of ingredients and amounts... so far I have been experimenting with Sweet Almond Oil, Amla Oil (use sparingly), Castor Oil, Coconut Oil, Cypress (aids circulation), Vitamin E, Emu Oil, Propolis Tincture, Rose Oil, Sage Oil (aids circulation), Sesame Oil, Rosemary Oil, Tea Tree Oil, and Thyme Oil. On the fence about adding Jojoba to this list. Good luck!.

How tall are korean men with no shoes? (175 cm?)?170 or over is a little tall for a Korean girl. The only problem you would have is Korean guys often do not feel comfortable when the girl is taller than they are. And, so many Korean girls like tall guys that unless you are super pretty it can be hard to meet a tall guy. I think the average for Korean guys is more like 173, but most guys wear insoles to make them seem taller3. if i wore these puma ( men) shoes to school will peoples make fun of me?I do not think anybody would make fun of you for wearing Pumas. If anybody does say anything, just say that they are not yours and your other shoes are messed up or just not lie and say that you like the way they look4. Black girls look like godzilla? They have fire stinky breath, size 30 men shoes, and they are like 7 ft tall?BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!5. Are women attracted to men by their shoes?I think the shoes are only going to say how much money you have in your pocket. Even though I have money I do not buy all these expensive things, I think they are luxuries I do not need. And to all the people saying he sounds like a gay guy: You are just all ignorant, a person's sexuality is not defined by the way they act/sound/look. Grow up!.6. Is that thing about women judging men on their shoes true? You can tell a lot about how a man takes care of himself, his home, and his whole life by how he takes care of his shoes. It does not matter how much the shoes cost. It's how he maintains them. Are his shoes clean and polished all the time? He's clean, hard working, and thoughtful. I will date him. This guy has his shirt tails tucked in and wears nice slacks with a belt. He has a job and makes dinner reservations before a date in order to reserve a table. When he picks you up, he walks to your front door to collect you. He opens the car door for you. He spent the afternoon washing and vacuuming the car before picking you up. Are his shoes scuffed, unpolished, and not cared for? He's a slob. He does not even take 5 minutes to polish his shoes. His home is messy. He's lazy, and selfish. I wo not give him a second look and certainly would not date him. This guy has his pants hanging around his butt and his underwear showing. He does not have a job and borrows money for gas and to eat at McDonald's. When he picks you up, he honks the horn outside your home. The car is full of food wrappers and empty soda cans. He's a bum. Does he always wear dirty-smelly sneakers? BUZZZ! Thanks for playing. You lose. Bye .7. my little brother is 9 and wears size 11 in men shoes and is about 5" this normal? o.o?This could be normal, as people have growth spurts at different times. Introduction to Enzymes | (S)-limonene 7-monooxygenase of Enzymes
(S)-limonene 7-monooxygenase of enzymesIn enzymology, a (S)-limonene 7-monooxygenase (EC is an enzyme that catalyzes the chemical reaction(-)-(S)-limonene NADPH H O2 displaystyle rightleftharpoons (-)-perillyl alcohol NADP H2OThe 4 substrates of this enzyme are (-)-(S)-limonene, NADPH, H, and O2, whereas its 3 products are (-)-perillyl alcohol, NADP, and H2O.This enzyme belongs to the family of oxidoreductases, specifically those acting on paired donors, with O2 as oxidant and incorporation or reduction of oxygen. The oxygen incorporated need not be derived from O2 with NADH or NADPH as one donor, and incorporation of one atom o oxygen into the other donor. The systematic name of this enzyme class is (S)-limonene,NADPH:oxygen oxidoreductase (7-hydroxylating). Other names in common use include (-)-limonene 7-monooxygenase, (-)-limonene hydroxylase, (-)-limonene monooxygenase, and (-)-limonene,NADPH:oxygen oxidoreductase (7-hydroxylating). This enzyme participates in monoterpenoid biosynthesis and limonene and pinene degradation. It employs one cofactor, heme.------Preparation of enzymesThrough a cut in the throat, the gills and part of the gullet are removed from the herring, eliminating any bitter taste. The liver and pancreas are left in the fish during the salt-curing process because they release enzymes essential for flavor. The herrings are then placed in the brine for approximately 5 days, traditionally in oak casks. They require no further preparation after fillet and skin removal and can be eaten as a snack with finely sliced raw onion and pickles. As skin removal requires experience, fillets or double fillets should be attempted first. The soused herrings are silvery outside and pink inside when fresh, and should not be bought if they appear grey and oily.Whereas salt herrings have a salt content of 20% and must be soaked in water before consumption, soused herrings do not need soaking.------Nudix hydrolase of enzymesNudix hydrolases are a superfamily of hydrolytic enzymes capable of cleaving nucleoside diphosphates linked to x (any moiety), hence their name. The reaction yields nucleoside monophosphate (NMP) plus X-P. Substrates hydrolysed by nudix enzymes comprise a wide range of organic pyrophosphates, including nucleoside di- and triphosphates, dinucleoside and diphosphoinositol polyphosphates, nucleotide sugars and RNA caps, with varying degrees of substrate specificity. Enzymes of the Nudix superfamily are found in all types of organisms, including eukaryotes, bacteria and archaea. There are two components to the Nudix family: the so-called Nudix fold of a beta sheet with alpha helices on each side and the Nudix motif which contains catalytic and metal-binding amino acids. The Nudix motif is GXXXXXEXXXXXXXREUXEEXGU where U is isoleucine, leucine or valine, and X is any amino acid. This forms a short helix which (usually) contains the catalytic amino acids. Nudix hydrolases include Dcp2 of the decapping complex, ADP-ribose diphosphatase, MutT, ADPRase, Ap4A hydrolases, RppH, and many others.------Benzoate 4-monooxygenase of enzymesIn enzymology, a benzoate 4-monooxygenase (EC is an enzyme that catalyzes the chemical reactionbenzoate NADPH H O2 displaystyle rightleftharpoons 4-hydroxybenzoate NADP H2OThe 4 substrates of this enzyme are benzoate, NADPH, H, and O2, whereas its 3 products are 4-hydroxybenzoate, NADP, and H2O.This enzyme belongs to the family of oxidoreductases, specifically those acting on paired donors, with O2 as oxidant and incorporation or reduction of oxygen. The oxygen incorporated need not be derived from O2 with NADH or NADPH as one donor, and incorporation of one atom o oxygen into the other donor. The systematic name of this enzyme class is benzoate,NADPH:oxygen oxidoreductase (4-hydroxylating). Other names in common use include benzoic acid 4-hydroxylase, benzoate 4-hydroxylase, benzoic 4-hydroxylase, benzoate-p-hydroxylase, and p-hydroxybenzoate hydroxylase. This enzyme participates in benzoate degradation via hydroxylation and benzoate degradation via coa ligation. It has 3 cofactors: iron, Tetrahydrobiopterin, and Tetrahydropteridine.------ADAMTS of enzymesADAMTS (short for a disintegrin and metalloproteinase with thrombospondin motifs) is a family of multidomain extracellular protease enzymes. 19 members of this family have been identified in humans, the first of which, ADAMTS1, was described in 1997. Known functions of the ADAMTS proteases include processing of procollagens and von Willebrand factor as well as cleavage of aggrecan, versican, brevican and neurocan, making them key remodeling enzymes of the extracellular matrix. They have been demonstrated to have important roles in connective tissue organization, coagulation, inflammation, arthritis, angiogenesis and cell migration. Homologous subfamily of ADAMTSL (ADAMTS-like) proteins, which lack enzymatic activity, has also been described. Most cases of thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura arise from autoantibody-mediated inhibition of ADAMTS13.Like ADAMs, the name of the ADAMTS family refers to its disintegrin and metalloproteinase activity, and in the case of ADAMTS, the presence of a thrombospondin motif.------Research of enzymesNagaraja has done research on DNA topoisomerases, topology modulation, regulation of gene expression to understand the underlying molecular mechanisms and their importance in cellular function. Understanding the biology of the pathogen that causes TB has been a major research effort. As a result, several seminal contributions have been made leading to potential applications. His interaction with industry includes development of commercial biotech products such as restriction enzymes and other DNA transaction enzymes, design and development of high fidelity restriction enzyme, new inhibitors for the generation of lead molecules as a step for novel therapeutics against tuberculosis. These have been successfully applied and resulted in international patents. Under his guidance, 21 students have completed doctoral degree and 10 students are at various stages of their PhD. In addition, a large number of project assistants, summer fellows and postdoctoral researchers are trained under him------Identity of hepoxilin-epoxide hydrolase of enzymesRecent studies have shown that Soluble epoxide hydrolase (i.e. epoxide hydrolase 2 or EH2) readily metabolizes a) hepoxilin A3 (8-hydroxy-11S,12Sepoxy-(5Z,8Z,14Z)-eicosatrienoic acid) to trioxilin A3 (8,11,12-trihydroxy-(5Z,9E,14Z)-eicosatrienoic acid) and b) hepoxilin B3 (10-hydroxy-11S,12Sepoxy-(5Z,9E,14Z)-eicosatrienoic acid) to trioxlin B3 (10,11,12-trihydroxy-(5Z,9E,14Z)-eicosatrienoic acid. Soluble epoxide hydrolase (i.e. epoxide hydrolase 2 or EH2) sEH also appears to be the hepoxilin hydrolase that is responsible for inactivating the epoxyalcohol metabolites of arachidonic acid, hepoxilin A3 and hepoxiin B3. Soluble epoxide hydrolase is widely expressed in a diversity of human and other mammal tissues and therefore appears to be the hepoxilin hydrolase responsible for inactivating hepoxilin A3 and B3 (see soluble epoxide hydrolase#Function and epoxide hydrolase#Hepoxilin-epoxide hydrolase). The ability of EH1, EH3, EH4, and leukotriene A4 hydrolase to metabolize hepoxilins to trioxilins has not yet been reported------ATP10 protein of enzymesIn molecular biology, ATP10 protein (mitochondrial ATPase complex subunit ATP10) is an ATP synthase assembly factor. It is essential for the assembly of the mitochondrial F1-F0 complex. A yeast nuclear gene (ATP10) encodes a product that is essential for the assembly of a functional mitochondrial ATPase complex. Mutations in ATP10 induce a loss of rutamycin sensitivity in the mitochondrial ATPase, but do not affect the respiratory enzymes. ATP10 has a molecular weight of 30,293 Da and its primary structure is not related to any known subunit of the yeast or mammalian mitochondrial ATPase complexes. ATP10 is associated with the mitochondrial membrane. It is suggested that the ATP10 product is not a subunit of the ATPase complex but rather a protein required for the assembly of the F0 sector of the complex.------Indications of enzymesAs with all prescription veterinary medicine, advice on the use of pradofloxacin should always be sought from a suitably qualified veterinarian.DogsIn Europe Pradofloxacin is indicated for the treatment of:wound infections and superficial and deep pyoderma caused by susceptible strains of the Staphylococcus intermedius group (including S. pseudintermedius),acute urinary tract infections caused by susceptible strains of Escherichia coli and the Staphylococcus intermedius group (including S. pseudintermedius) andas adjunctive treatment to mechanical or surgical periodontal therapy in the treatment of severe infections of the gingiva and periodontal tissues caused by susceptible strains of anaerobic organisms, for example Porphyromonas spp. and Prevotella spp.CatsPradofloxacin is indicated for the treatment of:acute infections of the upper respiratory tract caused by susceptible strains of Pasteurella multocida, Escherichia coli and the Staphylococcus intermedius group (including S. pseudintermedius).wound infections and abscesses caused by susceptible strains of Pasteurella multocida and the Staphylococcus intermedius group (including S. pseudintermedius) for oral suspension only.------Glycoside hydrolase family 18 of enzymesIn molecular biology, Glycoside hydrolase family 18 is a family of glycoside hydrolases.Glycoside hydrolases EC 3.2.1. are a widespread group of enzymes that hydrolyse the glycosidic bond between two or more carbohydrates, or between a carbohydrate and a non-carbohydrate moiety. A classification system for glycoside hydrolases, based on sequence similarity, has led to the definition of >100 different families. This classification is available on the CAZy web site, and also discussed at CAZypedia, an online encyclopedia of carbohydrate active enzymes. Some members of this family, CAZY GH_18, belong to the chitinase class II group which includes chitinase, chitodextrinase and the killer toxin of Kluyveromyces lactis. The chitinases hydrolyse chitin oligosaccharides. Another chitinase II member is the novel gene Chitinase domain-containing protein 1. The family also includes various glycoproteins from mammals; cartilage glycoprotein and the oviduct-specific glycoproteins are two examples.------UDP-sulfoquinovose synthase of enzymesUDP-sulfoquinovose synthase (EC is an enzyme that catalyzes the chemical reactionUDP-glucose sulfite displaystyle rightleftharpoons UDP-6-sulfoquinovose H2OThus, the two substrates of this enzyme are UDP-glucose and sulfite, whereas its two products are UDP-6-sulfoquinovose and H2O.In a subsequent reaction catalyzed by sulfoquinovosyl diacylglycerol synthase, the sulfoquinovose portion of UDP-sulfoquinovose is combined with diacyglycerol to produce the sulfolipid sulfoquinovosyl diacylglycerol (SQDG).This enzyme belongs to the family of hydrolases, specifically those acting on carbon-sulfur bonds. The systematic name of this enzyme class is UDP-6-sulfo-6-deoxyglucose sulfohydrolase. Other names in common use include sulfite:UDP-glucose sulfotransferase, and UDP-sulfoquinovose synthase. This enzyme participates in nucleotide sugars metabolism and glycerolipid metabolism. The 3-dimensional structure of the enzyme is known from Protein Data Bank entries 1qrr (Mulichak et al., 1999), 1i24, 1i2b and 1i2c.------Diagnosis of enzymesTypesHyperprolinemia type IIt is difficult to determine the prevalence of hyperprolinemia type I, as many people with the condition are asymptomatic.People with hyperprolinemia type I have proline levels in their blood between 3 and 10 times the normal level. Some individuals with type I exhibit seizures, intellectual disability, or other neurological problems.Hyperprolinemia type IIHyperprolinemia type II results in proline levels in the blood between 10 and 15 times higher than normal, and high levels of a related compound called pyrroline-5-carboxylate. This rare form of the disorder may appear benign at times, but often involves seizures, convulsions, and intellectual disability.Hyperprolinemia can also occur with other conditions, such as malnutrition or liver disease. In particular, individuals with conditions that cause elevated levels of lactic acid in the blood, such as lactic acidemia, are likely to have elevated proline levels, because lactic acid inhibits the breakdown of proline.------Isoflavone 2'-hydroxylase of enzymesIn enzymology, an isoflavone 2'-hydroxylase (EC is an enzyme that catalyzes the chemical reactionan isoflavone NADPH H O2 displaystyle rightleftharpoons a 2'-hydroxyisoflavone NADP H2OThe 4 substrates of this enzyme are isoflavone, NADPH, H, and O2, whereas its 3 products are 2'-hydroxyisoflavone, NADP, and H2O.This enzyme belongs to the family of oxidoreductases, specifically those acting on paired donors, with O2 as oxidant and incorporation or reduction of oxygen. The oxygen incorporated need not be derived from O2 with NADH or NADPH as one donor, and incorporation of one atom o oxygen into the other donor. The systematic name of this enzyme class is isoflavone,NADPH:oxygen oxidoreductase (2'-hydroxylating). Other names in common use include isoflavone 2'-monooxygenase, CYP81E1, and CYP Ge-3. This enzyme participates in isoflavonoid biosynthesis.
